All framed prints and plaques are texture coated to give the "appearance" of an art canvas.
1) PAPER ART PRINT
Our paper art prints come printed on heavy stock paper with a matte finish (not textured). This paper is standard quality for the publishing industry. They are ready for you to frame yourself or to have framed elsewhere.
2) FRAMED PRINT
To make our framed art prints, the paper art print is adhered to a manufactured wood board that is approximately 1/8" thick with an industrial adhesive made for the framing industry. A protective texture coating, also used in the framing industry, is then applied. We do not use glass! The board is then secured in the frame. Our art prints will measure ((Print Length + (Frame Moulding x 2)) + ((Print Width + (Frame Moulding x 2)) = Finished Print Size. For example: a 12" x 16" art print with a 2" wide frame moulding will measure 16" + 20" when complete. Frame moulding widths and colors are listed in each picture of the frames above. The frame is finished with a sawtooth hanger and ready for hanging.
3) PLAQUE
All of our plaques are approximately the same size as the actual art print itself. For example: a 12" x 16" art print will make a plaque approximately the same size. The art print is adhered to a manufactured wood board that is 3/8" thick with an industrial adhesive made for the framing industry. The edges of the board are then beveled slightly and color is applied the edges. A protective texture coating, also used in the framing industry, is then applied. It is finished with a sawtooth hanger and ready for hanging on your wall.
